How to completely unistall Symantec Anti Virus even it is password protected ?

Many times it is not us that forgot the password but the person who set the password is no longer reachable 😉

So, how now ??

Here is the workaround.

1. Run > Regedit

2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\INTEL\LANDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Administrator Only\Security\

3. Look for useVPuninstallpassword on your right hand panel and x2 click it.

4. Change the value for this key from 1 to 0

5. Close the registry

6. Give it another 1 last try…i mean uninstall 🙂
